  • What are your opening hours?
You can find our opening hours by clicking here.
  • I have booked tickets and can't visit on that day. What do I do?
There is no need to re-book if you can't visit on a certain day for general entry. Just show your booking/QR code when you next visit. If you cannot attend an experience please email experiences@hemsleyconservationcentre.com to rearrange your experience for a different day.
  • When are the animals fed?
We like to keep our animals on their toes so they don't expect their food at particular times. Our talk and feed programmes change regularly, but you can ask a member of staff.
  • What animals can I see?
You can see our animals by clicking here.
  • How do I check availability for an experience?
You can check availability for experiences on the individual experience page, by browsing through the calendar.
  • How much does entry cost?
You can find all of our entry prices by clicking here.
  • How long will my visit last?
That's completely up to you! Entry to the centre lasts the whole day and you can come and go throughout the day as you wish. To make the most of your visit we would recommend going to the free animal talks which are listed in our leaflet, reading the information signs around the centre, taking your time, spend time looking for and watching the animals and also speaking to a member of staff if you have any questions.
  • Do you offer volunteer and work experience placements.
Yes we do, for all information, please click here.
  • Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately due to animal welfare reasons, dogs including assistance dogs are not permitted in the zoo or tearoom. If you rely on an assistance dog, please get in touch before you visit.
  • Is the HCC accessible?
We regularly welcome wheelchair and pushchair users to the zoo. As we are a natural zoo, many of our pathways are made of compressed woodchip, decking and gravel which regular visitors with disabilities have no problem in dealing with. All of our buildings are accessible and we have ramps available should you require them. Our staff are always on hand to help! You can read our accessibility statement by clicking here.
  • Can I feed or hold any of the animals?
We offer pre-booked animal experiences, many of which enable you to feed our animals.
  • How do I get to the HCC?
You can find out where we are by clicking here.
